last weekend we went to Arbuckle lake with some people from our sunday school class. one of the girl's parents have a couple trailers down there and they let us use them for the weekend. we went down friday night--after i had a mini-migraine. we had a bonfire friday night with hot dogs and smores. we took yoda with us and he had a lot of fun playing with new people. then saturday we went down to the lake. there were about 16 of us there so we had to take turns going out in the boat. yoda barked at nearly every person and boat that went by....but it was good for him to get a little more socialization. he was really well behaved, just a little annoying at times. i wish i had taken some pictures, but the water was so high the first two rows of parking near the boat launch were under about a foot of water. i spent a lot of time walking yoda in the water and by the end of the day he was almost jumping and playing in it. i think he still prefers to be dry though. we had sandwiches for lunch and sat around talking and playing in the water. andy went tubing and skiing. i forfeited my time on the boat so that they guys could go out longer. the girls did take it out for a little while, we just didnt ski or tube. next time i will go skiing. i havent ever tried it. it rained on us for a little while, and the guys killed a scorpion and baby tarantula near our "camp" site. luckily, i did not see either of them. we also got a little sunburned---my scalp got fried and it just now starting to peel. peeling scalp is gross.
last night andy and i went to the okc yard dawgs game--arena football. the game was fun to watch, but the people in the stands were more fun to watch. it was kinda like being at the fair.
i have some other fun pictures from the past few months, but i already uploaded them on our desktop computer and deleted them from the camera. last week i went to turn on the computer and it wouldnt start. so i cant get to those pictures right now. i will post them later. i think that is all. i hope you enjoy all the updates! sorry it took so long.

Owasso
We went to Owasso for the first weekend in June. Andy's brother Josh was having his 10 year owasso high school reunion so we went to O town to spend a little time with them. Jake got to play in Parker's Johnny-jump-up thing. I dont know if that is what it is really called, but that is what we call it. He seemed to like it. It didnt take him long to get the hang of jumping.

the house is set up for little boys because my parents take care of Parker a couple afternoons a week...jake was living it up with all these new toys.
Hanging out with uncle andy.
We went swimming on sunday afternoon. the water was too chilly for me to want to get in, but Jake and Sara got in for awhile. Jake didn't really like the pool at first...he took a little break and got in again later. He liked it much better the second time around.

We tried to get Yoda to swim. This is the second or third time we have put Yoda in the pool. he really doesnt like it.

rain rain rain
it has been raining like crazy here. i dont even know how many inches we have gotten, but it has rained 20 or 21 days straight in oklahoma city. everyone is really sick of it because no one can mow their yards or do anything outside, but one major bonus is that our garden and flowerbeds look awesome! all the tiny little plants i bought because i am cheap are getting so big! we have two tomato plants that are up to the top of our fence. there are several tomatoes on it right now, they just arent ripe yet.

they have gotten even bigger in the last week
WOOHOO! WOOD FLOORS!
we are finally (nearly) finished with our big flooring project. we put in two full weekends and every weeknight in between and finished laying all our flooring. we still need to go back and clean all the little adhesive smudges off the floor and put in our transition pieces between the flooring and the carpet...then we are going to out in all new baseboards, door casings, and crown molding. laying the floor went pretty smoothly, with the exception of a few spots that didnt get quite as level as we had hoped. we are really happy with how it turned out overall. it makes the rooms look a lot bigger and brighter. take a look!
this was yoda's spot while we had adhesive on the floor. we had to baby gate him in the hallway.

After we put the first section of flooring down we thought it resembled a bowling lane...so andy and i played a little blowfish bowling (with yoda's toy blowfish).

needless to say, we didnt have any guests for a couple of weeks. this is our front door blocked by all our furniture.

So happy we are finished!!
